Coach Mackie reaches 500 hour mark

Ferret -

  1. A weasel like mammal (Mustela putorius furo) related to the polecat and often trained to hunt rabbits.
  2. To uncover and bring to light by searching. Often used with out: “His work merely points the way for others to ferret out the core components”
  3. To hound or harry persistently; worry.
  4. A Goalball coach who this year exceeded the 500 hour mark in volunteer service

Coach Mackie holding up his 500 hour award.“It’s been hell!” joked Coach Vince Mackie when asked about surpassing the 500 hour mark in service working as a Goalball coach. “Actually it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long. I still have a lot to learn... I have been very lucky that some of the veteran coaches have helped me to go in the right direction and the girls are so much fun to work with that the time just flies.”. Mackie has been coaching Goalball since April of 2003.
